This tour is an excellent introduction to the Alpental backcountry. It takes you to the beautiful Pineapple basin and past the east face of the Tooth, which is many a Seattle mountaineer's first summit. Even though the tour is short and in the immediate v.

The Back Bowls lie within the Alpental Ski Area use permit, but have some additional rules of use and require a more self reliant mindset . 31 Dec 2010 New to the area, and I was reading online about the requirement to be approved by the alpental ski patrol and carry a card along with shovel, probe and beacon. However, I went for a tour yesterday (not using the lifts, jut skinned up to Snow lake) and I saw dozens of skiers coming down the backside
